Cooling Night Sweats

Sage is helpful for women during menopause. It can reduce the severity of hot flashes and night sweats. It can also ease other menopausal symptoms such as fatigue and mental fog.

Enjoy this sweet and savory tea anytime but especially after dinner to prepare you for heated nights.

Sage Honey: 1 cup finely chopped fresh sage leaves and 1 cup honey. Place into a 16 ounce mason jar making sure sage is fully covered by the honey. Cover and label and let infuse for about 4 weeks out of the sunlight.

Do not strain but use the honey with sage leaves. The honey will keep for 1 year if sage leaves remain covered by the honey.

Tea: Place sage honey in a teapot or jar and cover with 2 cups just boiled water and cover to steep 20 minutes. Pour the tea through a strainer into a mug and enjoy.

I also like to add the honey to Flashes Tea found on Healing House Herbs website. (Flashes tea contains

Motherwort, nettle, sage, lemon balm, vitex berries, horsetail and Mugwort.)
